Enterprise Keywords and Managed Metadata

If you enable Enterprise Keywords in the Template Hub Library, you can use this field in your views:

For the end user, this will be a filterable column that they can use in the details view of the Template Selector for filtering templates that match a given keyword:

If you want the data entered in the Enterprise Keywords column of your template to be saved with the document in the target document library, you need to make sure that the Enterprise Keywords feature is enabled in that library as well. The Office applications will preserve the values when saving the document for you.

Managed metadata columns works the same way, but if you want these data to be saved in your target document library, you need to use the Content Type Hub to achieve this. Read Using Content Types to get that configured correctly.
